Rice paddle

The gouged texture of this paddle prevents rice from sticking. The black cherry wood gave it a rich, red colour that only gets better with age.

Bird spoon set

The bird spoons in this flock are the perfect size for stirring drinks – when the spoon is resting in a cup, it looks like the bird is perched on the rim!

Walnut spoon and spreader set

This set was a special request for matching jar spoons and spreader knives all in the same wood. This black walnut, which came from salvaged offcuts, provides a beautiful dark brown colour that ties the whole set together.

Matching mixing spoons, spatulas and pie servers

Comprising 10 of each style of utensil, this wholesale order for a local bakery was a fun exercise in consistency. The white birch utensils later received matching paint and chip carving to tie it all together.

Espresso tamper

Requiring a high level of precision to fit perfectly in the filter, this was a challenging but satisfying project. The black cherry wood is sure to take on some beautiful colours from daily use!
